Celebrate England's rich history with this wonderful Celtic mead. Dating back to the Bronze Age in Europe, mead is one of the oldest known beverages, drunk throughout history for rituals and celebrations. Enticingly sweet with a hint of spice, it is the perfect accompaniment to spicy food and delicious with strong cheeses and biscuits. Celtic Mead has been produced by hand for English Heritage in small batches by the award-winning Lyme Bay Winery.
The Lyme Bay Winery was established in Devon in 1992 to produce authentic West Country Cider and soon added other traditional drinks to its range. They are all made by hand combining traditional and modern methods and using the freshest local ingredients wherever possible.
