A beautiful wall tapestry inspired from an original oil on canvas by Sir William Ernest Reynolds-Stephens (1862– 1943). The American-born British artist and sculptor was educated at Blackheath School of Art and the Royal Academy School. He exhibited there from 1886 until 1942. His work can also be seen at St Paul’s Cathedral, Lambeth Palace and Southwell Minster. His paintings were of genre and literary subjects, often allegorical, and showed the influence of the pre-Raphaelites. This tapestry makes a great gift for someone interested in the history of art and paintings.
