Built half on the mainland and half on a jagged headland projecting into the Cornish sea, Tintagel Castle is one of the most spectacular historic sites in Britain. Its association with King Arthur makes it also one of the most famous. History and legend are inseparable at Tintagel. From about the 5th to the 7th century AD it was an important stronghold, and probably a residence of rulers of Cornwall.
Today Tintagel's rich history is brought to life by atmospheric ruins in the landscape, outdoor works of art and a stunning new footbridge, built to reconnect Tintagel's divided landscape.
Created by Wentworth under official license from English Heritage the Tintagel Castle jigsaw puzzle is made using wood from sustainably managed forests. The puzzle features a spectacular view of the footbridge striding the mainland and jagged headland on the Cornish coast.
